Company registration in Nepal runs entirely through the Office of the Company Registrar's (OCR) CAMIS portal at camis.ocr.gov.np, under the Companies Act, 2063. Nepal registered over 42,000 new companies in FY 2082/83 alone, and the process — while digital — still trips up first-time founders on avoidable details.
Step 1: Reserve Your Company Name
Create a CAMIS account and submit your proposed name in both English and Nepali Unicode. The OCR checks it against existing registrations and trademarks; a rejected or mismatched name is the single most common cause of delay.
Step 2: Prepare Your Documents
- Memorandum of Association (MOA) and Articles of Association (AOA)
- Citizenship certificates of all promoters and directors
- National ID (NID) numbers — mandatory for all promoters since 2082 BS
- Registered office address proof
Step 3: Submit & Pay Government Fees
Fees are based on authorized capital, ranging from roughly NPR 1,000 for a small private company up to NPR 43,000+ for larger authorized capital or public companies. Budget NPR 15,000–25,000 all-in for a standard private limited company once notarization and incidental costs are included.
Step 4: Certificate, PAN & Ward Registration
Once OCR issues your registration certificate, register for PAN with the Inland Revenue Department, then register at your local Ward Office. The full cycle typically takes 7–10 working days for a clean application.
Company Sathi handles the entire registration process end to end — from name reservation to PAN and Ward registration — so a single formatting error doesn't cost you weeks. Talk to our team to get started.
