Trademark Registration in Nepal: Process, Cost & Timeline

Trademark registration under Nepal's Patent, Design, and Trademark Act gives you exclusive legal rights to your brand name, logo, and slogan — protection worth securing early, before a competitor does.

Why Register?

Registration Process

File your application with the Department of Industry. After examination, it's published in the Nepal Gazette for a 90-day opposition window during which any third party can formally object. If no opposition is raised, the certificate is issued.

Duration & Renewal

A registered trademark is valid for 7 years and can be renewed indefinitely — but you must actively track and file the renewal, since Nepal doesn't send automatic reminders.

What Can Be Trademarked

Names, logos, slogans, and certain distinctive packaging can all be registered, provided they're sufficiently distinctive and don't conflict with existing marks.

At Company Sathi, we handle the complete trademark registration process from search to certificate. Protect your brand today.
