Lunar tithi is computed live and checked against verified reference dates. Sankranti and named festivals are estimated from the same calculation and can occasionally differ by a day from Nepal's official Panchang — solid facts and estimates are labeled separately below.

How the calendar was checked: the month-length table was compared day-for-day against an independent, established open-source Nepali calendar dataset across the full BS 2000–2099 range, plus checked against 7 independently published New Year (Baisakh 1) dates from news sources. One genuine data error was found and fixed during that check (a one-day mismatch at the BS 2080/2081 boundary). For BS years beyond roughly 2090, Nepal's official calendar committee hasn't published yet for any tool — those dates are the best available projection, not an official record.

How the tithi and events were checked: lunar tithi, eclipses, and solstices come from a real, independently-maintained astronomy library, not a lookup table — tested here against known full-moon festival dates, two documented historical eclipses (with their correct Nepal visibility), and real sunrise times. Sankranti timing uses an approximation that matched 7 of 8 independently published Maghe Sankranti dates during testing. Named festival dates (Dashain, Tihar, Teej, and similar) are estimated from the same tithi calculation — testing turned up a genuine case where reputable sources disagreed by a day on a Dashain date, so treat these as a reliable "around this date," not an official ruling.
For anything legally critical — citizenship, land, or court documents — cross-check against an official Nepali patro as well. For exact public holiday dates, check Nepal's official Panchang or government notice.
